In the spirit of the fabled Armageddon trip from a few years back, Capt. Greg is now making this unique experience available to all.  In addition to world-class mutton snapper fishing, the Dry Tortugas are home to multiple amazing fisheries. The deepwater reefs and ledges hold multitudes of deepwater species. Shallower reefs hold record-class yellowtails and grouper. Seasonal migrations bring action of smoker king mackerel and blackfin tuna.  Hundreds of years of history in the Dry Tortugas have led to many wrecks in the surrounding waters. Many of these wrecks teem with cobia, grouper, snappers and are out of range of normal trips to effectively fish. As a result, few of these fish have ever seen a baited hook. Furthermore, it is difficult to fish all these areas in one trip – until now.

Capts. Greg and Matt are two of the most experienced and knowledgeable captains in the Dry Tortugas and have in-depth knowledge of all these areas. They are prepared to set another benchmark in Dry Tortugas fishing.

This trip centers on a totally customized fishing experience. Forget the days of crowded rails and less than pleasant fishing companions. This trip is all about space, with an ultra-limited load (6 minimum, 12 passengers maximum), bring your friends, family, or anyone in between. The 100-foot Yankee Capts will afford you plenty of space to fish your bait, heckle your friend, or simply relax.

Whether a seasoned Tortugas fisherman or a first-timer looking for the best possible trip, this is it. As mentioned before, the Tortugas have limitless potential. This trip brings it together like never before. How? Prior to the trip, you will have a pre-trip consultation with Capt Greg/Matt where you will go over what specifically you would like to target on your trip, and in what order. The Capts. will then put together a custom-made fishing plan, using their experience of the areas as well as the seasonal conditions.

Once the trip is planned and set, the boat leaves the dock at noon on day 1 and comes back on days 2, 3, or when the boxes are full! While at sea either Capt. Greg or Matt is at the helm putting together the best possible trip.  24 hours a day there is a captain at work for you. Traditionally, “six-pack”  trips have always taken place on smaller boats, which are more at the mercy of the weather and the captain's "down time". Also the Yankee Capts has NMFS fishing permits that allow it fish in waters not available to other charter boat operations.  Never before has a charter-type trip been available on a boat with size and capabilities of the Yankee Capts.

Down on deck, the best crew in the business is standing by to take care of you.  From helping with tackle to a giving a few pointers on how to fool the wary mutton, they are ready to help.

Reeling in all those fish can certainly build up an appetite.  Part of the custom experience takes place in the galley.  A culinary marvel, our on board chef Renata Salvadore can whip up one of her specialties or can help you with yours. Either way, be ready for a feast by any standard!

For the discriminating angler looking for the pinnacle in Dry Tortugas fishing, there is nothing better.  A small group, a big boat, and the best operation in the Dry Tortugas. There is no better choice. Please e mail us or call 305 923 3926. See you at the dock!"
